Subaru STI steps back into 4-door shoes again.

Subaru has brought it back, the 4-door Impreza STI.  After an absence of a couple years Subie has done the right thing and re-introduced the sedan back into the STI fold.

It looks hands down better than the hatch and the MEGA wing looks the part.  This new model takes on the same wide-body characteristics as the 2011MY Impreza WRX as well as added improvements to its suspension geometry.
Subaru wants this to be, "The Fastest WRX STI Evar", to attain this feat the STI underwent a strict diet of Nurburg lapping and test lapping in Japan.  The STI has been lowered by 5mm and can optioned with 18" BBS aluminum rims with 245/40 R18 skins.

Mechanical changes include:
  • A new aluminum lower arm has been designed for the front suspension, while the rear arm bushes have
been changed to a pillow-ball type. These work to improve toe and tread rigidity in order to provide
    handling performance.
  • The specifications of the sub-frame bushings of the rear suspension have been changed to improve the toe and camber rigidity, resulting in increased vehicle responsiveness and road hugging capability.
  • Specialised tuning of the damping force of both front and rear dampers provides secure road-holding ability. Changes to specifications of the front and rear coil springs, and stabilizers have greatly
    improved roll rigidity.
In addtion to that Bluetooth is now standard and a USB jack has been added into the console box for your iPod connectivity needs.
