Nissan Leaf sales crest 6500!

Reports out from Nissan say that the Nissan Leaf, the first mass produced electric car in the world, has reached the plateau of 6500  vehicle sales. Sales in Canada began a while after and 40 have been sold in the Great White North.

We wonder how many people have driven off while still attached to the wall. Or does the car know its plugged in and prevent the car from driving if still attached? Nissan? Anyone?
