Engine Placement & Driven Wheel:
AWD: All Wheel Drive
RWD: Rear Wheel Drive
FWD: Front Wheel DRive
FF: Front Engine / Front Drive
FR: Front Engine / Rear Drive
MR: Mid Engine / Rear  Drive
RR: Rear Engine / Rear Drive
FMR: Front Midship Engine / Rear Drive


AWD Systems:
4WD: Four Wheel Drive
4Motion: VW AWD System
SHD: Honda Super Handling AWD System
Quattro: Audi AWD System

Engine Types:
Wankel: Rotary Engine (no pistons)
4 Cylinder: 4 Cylinders in a row
Straight Six or Inline Six: Six Cylinders in a row
Flat/Horizontal/Boxer Engine: Pistons are horizontal instead of vertical or V-shaped
V shaped engine: 2 banks of 3 cylinders shaped in a V
W Engine: Two V shaped VW engines put end on end.

DI: Direct Injection
CVT: Continuously Variable Transmission
TDI: Turbo Charged Direct Injection Diesel Engine
PDK: Porsche Doppelkupplung (Porsche Double Clutch Transmission)
