2011 Nissan GT-R - Details

Nissan announced some changes to the GT-R lineup today as well as pricing for 2011.

For starters the base GT-R has been put to pasture and the GT-R Premium carries on as the only model available.  Until the Spec V is offered here...cough.

Performance wise, they have added rear cooling ducts, suspension has been retuned, rear bushings have been strengthened, harshness should be improved as a result.

Nissan finally noticed that the centre caps on the wheels were too light, so they have promptly been darkened.  A double clear coat was added to the front and rear of the body, as well as speed sensing wipers.  Auto on/off headlights are included.

In the cabin you get a iPod interface and streaming audio via Bluetooth as standard with DVD playback.  Navigation now includes XM NavTraffic & NavWeather.

The 2011 Nissan GT-R is still equipped a 485-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine and high-performance, 6-speed, dual-clutch transmission with AWD.  Prices for this year are $84,060 USD.

Special Silver paint is a $3000 option.  GT-R lettered floor mats are $280, judging from the price they should be safe from un-intended acceleration issues.
