Honda CR-Z Seeing some early Success

After going on sale in Japan on the 26th of February the CR-Z has already had 7000 orders.

If you look at the bigger picture, Honda only forecast it to sell 12,000 units as an annual sales target, sales of 7000 make up a hefty 60% of that total already.  There have been rumours that the U.S. dealers didn't want the car and they tried to have the project shelves on two separate occasions.

We will be seeing a two seat version in the summer, while Europe will be getting a 2+2.  Expect 122hp inline 4 Cylinder with Hybrid Assist.  This is one of the more exciting FF cars to come out in recent years.  Let's hope the Type-R model makes it to North America this time.  If not you always have Mugen and Spoon to help you get there.

Let's not forget that many of Honda's cars haven't been that quick out of the box but have made up for it with exceptional handling and performance.  With a few tweaks this car should be able to make 200hp.
