Kia Venga EV - Geneva 2010

Geneva 2010 saw the unveiling of the Kia Venga EV concept car.  This is Kia's first attempt at a fully electric vehicle for the mass market.

The heart of EV Venga's heart beats an 80kw motor generating 280 Nm of torque.  Off the line the little EV hits 0-60 in a breathe taking 11.8 seconds, well, multiple breaths probably and goes on to 140 kph maximum speed.  Best results return 180 km on one tank of EV berry juice.
EV Venga's energy comes from a twin-pack 24 kWh LiPoly Battery pack.  With a hyper charger, bigger than 220 volt, the EV Venga can be 80% topped up within 20 minutes.  Using a 110 volt source a full tank requires around 8 hours of charge time.

No announcement on production plans have been announced.
