The future of urban life, according to Smart

Daimler has put together a design study to show us what the future of urban life will look like.  From what I can tell, they envision a future where were all still driving the 2nd gen Fourtwo, life could be worse I suppose.  More troubling is the building in the background, the ramshackle building with semi transparent saran wrap exterior, complete with probing green alien lights from within.
The future will have you driving your old, possible EV, Fourtwo home.  You pull in to your parking stall, then begin to start walking towards your house that was inspired by an earthquake.  Not so reassuring.

What horrors await inside?  Perhaps a hot tub time machine lies in wait, or a check of the prostate.  At this point in time I will choose to sleep in my Fourtwo.

This foreshadows the future, where every building will be built by architecturally challenged engineers from China, not from Deutschland.  In the future your home has structurally failed before you've even purchased it.

Live in the present everyone, the future will be a scary land indeed.
